秋筱宫文仁亲王(1965年(昭和四十年)11月30日),日本皇室成员。文仁亲王是当今日本天皇明仁及皇后美智子的次男,皇太子德仁的弟弟。根据现在的皇室典范规定,秋筱宫文仁为第二顺位皇位继承人。幼名礼宫(あやのみや)。
现任日本山阶鸟类研究所总裁、日本动物园水族馆协会总裁、世界自然保护基金日本分会名誉总裁、日本网球协会名誉总裁、日兰协会名誉总裁、理学博士(综合研究大学院大学)、理学名誉博士(Burapha大学、Srinakharinwirot大学、Chulalongkorn大学、Ubon Ratchathani大学)、水产生物学名誉博士(Kasetsart大学)、水产学名誉博士(Khonkaen大学、King Mongkut"s Institute理工大学)。
1990年(平成二年)6月29日与川嶋辰彦的长女纪子结婚、秋筱宫家创立。
1991年(平成三年)10月23日长女秋筱宫真子诞生。
1994年(平成六年)12月29日次女秋筱宫佳子诞生。
2006年(平成十八年)9月6日长男秋筱宫悠仁诞生。

Imperial Highness Prince Akishino (Prince Ayanomiya) was born on November 30, 1965, as the second son of Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress. His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino married Miss Kawashima, Kiko on June 29, 1990. Upon his marriage, His Imperial Highness had the title of Prince Akishino conferred on him by His Majesty The Emperor.
Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Akishino attend various court ceremonies including New Year"s Celebration as well as other court functions held at the Imperial Palace. Prince and Princess Akishino are present at a wide variety of official events such as the Festival of the Sea, the National High School Horse Riding Festival, the National City Greening Festival and the Summer and Winter National Sports Festivals held in different prefectures and islands of Japan. On their official trips, they visit welfare, cultural or industrial facilities and meet local people giving them encouragement. Also, at the Prince"s residence, they meet with important visitors from Japan and overseas, as well as distinguished experts in various fields and trainee groups from overseas.
Prince Akishino and Princess Akishino have made official visits to foreign countries. In recent years, in May 2001, they visited the Netherlands to attend the wedding ceremony of His Royal Highness Prince Constantijin. In June 2002, Their Imperial Highnesses visited Mongolia to be present at a ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The visit to Mongolia was the first visit by a member of the Imperial Family. In October 2002, Prince and Princess Akishino visited the Netherlands to attend the funeral of the Late Prince Claus, the Royal Consort of the Kingdom.
In addition to His Imperial Highness"s busy official duties, Prince Akishino carries out research on the domestication of chickens from their wild ancestor. In September 1996, the Graduate University for Advanced studies conferred the degree of Ph.D on His Imperial Highness for his thesis on the "Molecular Phylogeny of Junglefowls, genus Gallus and Monophyletic Origin of Domestic Fowls." While working on his research, Prince Akishino made visits to Indonesia in 1993 and 1994, to Yunnan Province in China in 1998 with Princess Akishino, and to Thailand and Laos in 2001. Prince Akishino has published the results of his research in academic papers.
In September 1995, Kasetsart University and Burapha University conferred honorary doctorates of fisheries and science respectively on His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino, for his extensive and comprehensive contribution to fisheries research in Thailand since Prince Akishino was a university student. In July 1999, Khon Kaen University and in August 2001, Srinakharinwirot University and Chulalongkorn University conferred honorary doctorates of fisheries and science on His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino. In August 2003, Ubon Ratchathani University conferred an honorary degree of Doctor of Agriculture on His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino, for his intensive research activities in biology and ethnobiology, including ichthyological studies in Thailand.
Her Imperial Highness Princess Akishino, besides performing official duties and public activities along with His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino, assumed the role of Patroness of the Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association, succeeding the Late Princess Chichibu in June 1994. As the Patroness, Her Imperial Highness attends various ceremonial events such as the Anti- Tuberculosis National Convention and the Anti-Tuberculosis Municipality Commendation Ceremony to meet people who have rendered distinguished service in their respective fields, including trainees from overseas. Her Imperial Highness also attends the General Assembly of the Japanese Red Cross Society in her capacity as Honorary Vice President of the organization.
From her school days, Her Imperial Highness has learned sign language as an important means of communication with persons with speech and hearing impairments. Her Imperial Highness attends the "Sign Language Speech Contest for High School Students" every August, which provides her with the opportunity to practice her sign language and enhance her understanding.
Their Imperial Highnesses have two daughters. Her Imperial Highness Princess Mako is currently in the third grade of the Gakushuin Girls" Junior High School and Her Imperial Highness Princess Kako is currently in the sixth grade of the Gakushuin Primary School. Both of the young Princesses are growing up in good health.
